The Framework Agreement states that a First Nation will take reasonable steps
to locate its eligible voters and inform them
of:
(a) their right to participate in the approval process and the manner in which that right can be exercised; and
(b) the content of the Framework Agreement, the
individual agreement with the
Minister, the proposed land code and
the federal legislation.
Community Information
In order to make an informed decision, Swan Lake has developed newsletters, mail out packages and will be hosting community meetings where members can obtain information and ask questions.
